I remember the Stage being built next to the lake, probably for that Fete and Gala. The Showjumping ( captain what’s his name on the famous Horse ” Foxhunter ” ) in the morning and amazing High wire acts in the afternoon .. an altogether fantastic experience, attended by most of Merthyr and the surrounding towns ..
